St. Paul Choral Scholars

Music at St. Paul Community United Methodist Church at Madeira Ohio

Music plays a vital role in the ministry of St. Paul Community and has for many years. From choral music
to instrumental music to handbell music – sacred music is central to our worship. Music is viewed as a
transformational aspect of life, especially so in the sacred life. St. Paul Community is bringing back its
music ministry this fall of 2022 with its Chancel Choir, Chancel Handbell Choir, and Children’s Choir.

St. Paul Community Choral Scholar Positions

St. Paul Community offers four college-level choral scholar positions for the 2022-23 season, one for
each voice part. Interested applicants must be a college-level choral singer. Having a major or minor in
music is not a requirement, however, some choral involvement and skill is necessary. Each choral
scholar position receives $50 per regular rehearsal and $50 per regular Sunday performance for a
weekly stipend of $100. Extra rehearsals and performances receive additional remuneration at the
regular rate. Stipends are paid monthly.
