A robin has made her nest in one of Cathy’s flowerpots. As we stand on the front porch, we can hear the chicks peeping. Every so often, we capture a glimpse of the mother hovering over her babies, feeding them, protecting them, and nurturing them.

What a beautiful image of the kind of loving care God provides to us. Take a few minutes to meditate on the passage below. Reflect on the ways in which God lovingly cares for you. Thank God for His many blessings.

Psalm 36:7 “Your love is a treasure, and everyone finds shelter
in the shadow of your wings” (CEB).

 

Now, consider God’s charge below:

1 Peter 4:10-11 “Be generous with the different things God gave you, passing them
around so all get in on it: if words, let it be God’s words; if help, let it be God’s hearty help. That way, God’s bright presence will be evident in everything through Jesus, and he’ll get all the credit as the One mighty in everything—encores to the end of time. Oh, yes!” (MSG).

 

Ask God to place the name of someone in your mind with whom you can share the blessings God has given you. How can you concretely bless this person today?
