St. Paul is Giving Away the Easter Offering – Will You Tell Us Where to Send it?

For several years St. Paul Community United Methodist Church has given the money collected for the special Easter Offering to deserving charities.  This year, we want our community to help choose where it should go.

How it works:  Every week until Easter on April 12, we will collect votes on Facebook, on our website, and in worship.  This means each person can vote each week up to three times.  We will total all the votes cast over the entire time and then give the offering to the charities proportionally based on the number of votes they receive.

The mission committee has selected three charities people can vote for. They are:

  • NEEDS – The Northeast Emergency Distribution Food Pantry serving the communities around St. Paul. NEEDS in the news. Learn more.
  • The Inn at St. Paul Refugee Ministry providing support for a family of refugees from Eritrea.
  • Drilling Water Wells in The Congo serving villages currently relying on bacteria infested rivers for their drinking water. Learn more.

Where to vote: Week one voting will begin on Sunday, March 1. Each person will be able to vote in person during worship (Sundays at 10 am), on our Facebook Page, and on our website.

Though voting now open. Plan your visit to vote in person. Like and follow our Facebook page so you will know each week when the vote starts. And vote above.  Check back to each week to vote again. Also, you can signup to receive one email each week letting you know when the next vote is open. Signup here.
